What are the alternatives to Gong?
It depends on what you want from your calls. Gong describes itself as a revenue platform with forecasting, sales engagement and enablement around it. If what you want is your recorded sales calls scored against your own checklist, with coaching notes for each rep, there are lighter tools. This page looks at three alongside Gong: Callyst, Jiminny and Avoma.
Callyst is the one we make. You send recorded calls, it scores each one on your scorecard, and the price is listed on the page: $200 a month for 1 to 3 reps, $280 for 4 to 7, then $40 per rep from 8. That works for a three-person team and a thirty-person team alike.
For a longer side-by-side, see Callyst vs Gong, Avoma and Jiminny.
How do Gong, Jiminny, Avoma and Callyst compare?
"Not listed" means the page we read does not say. It does not mean the company has no such thing. Read dates are 26 October 2026.

A few notes on the table:
- Gong's pricing page lists no amounts. It says licences are priced per user, that there is a platform fee based on the number of users, and invites you to fill in a form for a customised proposal. Gong's help page on automatic review, updated 8 Jun 2026 (shown as updated 8 June 2026) says availability depends on your company's plan and seat.
- Jiminny says it has no platform fee. Its pricing page names three plans (Capture, Scale and Grow), a one-time setup fee, and quotes by seat type.
- Avoma's pricing page shows prices by plan. It lists the scoring features under a Conversation Intelligence add-on, and says the add-on follows the same billing cycle as the plan.
- We do not put any rival price in this table. None of these pages gives an amount we can compare like for like, and we will not guess one.
Why choose Callyst?
- It scores on your checklist. Load your own scorecard, or paste a checklist and Callyst drafts one for you to read. Without one, it uses its standard sales scorecard. Items can be scale or yes/no, and each item can apply to all calls, inbound only or outbound only.
- Item scores come with a quote from the call. Each quote is checked word for word against the transcript. If no quote checks out, the score shows without one. The overall score comes with a short written reason.
- Flags give a manager a short list to review. A scorecard can define its own flags, each with a severity. Each flag the AI raises has to quote the call. Add your compliance checks to the scorecard and Callyst flags the calls that miss them, with the quote. A flag whose quote isn't in the transcript is dropped. Flags are a separate list for a person to review. Raising a flag does not change the call's score.
- Reps get a coaching email every weekday morning. What went well, what to fix, what to say instead.
- The price is on the page, with plans for teams of any size. $200 a month for 1 to 3 reps. $280 for 4 to 7. $40 per rep from 8. Each rep includes 1,000 calls a month, pooled across the team, and extra calls are 5 cents each. There is no setup fee and no platform fee. Plans are billed monthly with no annual contract. See pricing.
- Works with any phone system that can export recordings. Send them as .wav or .mp3 files.
- Your recordings are handled with care. Audio is deleted 30 days after scoring, and no recording is kept longer than 35 days. Your data is not used to train AI models.
- You can try it on your own calls first. The free check scores up to 10 of your calls and sends you a scored report within 24 hours. No card, and no call with sales first.
Good to know: Callyst scores calls in English from recordings you send. Scores, flags and coaching notes are generated by AI and can be wrong. Review them before acting, especially before any step that affects a person's job or pay.
Which one fits which team?
Pick the first line that sounds like you.
- You want forecasting, sales engagement and enablement in one revenue platform. Gong's pages describe that. Ask for a proposal and ask what is in your plan and seat.
- You want call recording, a notetaker, CRM updates and coaching insight in one tool, and you are happy with a custom quote and a contract of at least 12 months. Look at Jiminny.
- You live in video meetings and want notes, scheduling and call scoring together. Look at Avoma, and check which plan and add-on include the scoring.
- You have recorded sales calls and your own checklist, and you want each call scored item by item with quotes, a flag list and a rep coaching email, at a published price. Try Callyst's free check.
What should you ask any vendor before you commit?
- Can I try it on my own calls? Callyst's free check is self-serve: you upload your own calls. Ask each vendor what its trial or proof of concept covers.
- What is the price for my team, and for how long am I committed? Ask for it in writing, including any platform fee, setup fee or contract term.
- How are my calls scored? Ask whether you can use your own scorecard, and what a score shows when you click into it.
- How long is my audio kept, and where? Ask every vendor for its own number, in writing.
- How do I check the scores? Pick 10 calls your managers have already judged and compare.
How do you try Callyst's free check?
You get up to 10 calls scored for free, one free check per company. You need a work email (free addresses such as Gmail do not work). No card is needed and you do not have to talk to sales first.
- Fill in the form with your name, work email and company. On the same form you can add your own scorecard, or paste a checklist and we draft a scorecard from it (the checklist text goes to our AI model provider to do this).
- Check your email for the sign-in link. It works once and expires after 15 minutes.
- Click it. A short "Finish signing in" page opens. Press Sign in. This confirms your work email and opens your private upload page.
- Upload your calls: .wav or .mp3, up to 50 MB each, up to 10 calls. Tick We have permission to share these calls, only if the people on the calls, and your company, allow Callyst to process the recordings. You are responsible for having the right to record your calls, including any consent that recording laws require.
- When every file is uploaded, press Done, build my report.
- Your scored report arrives within 24 hours. We email you the headline numbers and a link to the full report online. You can save it as a PDF from your browser.
No scorecard yet? The free scorecard builder turns a checklist into a draft you can read, with no sign-up. Read the draft before you use it: an AI writes it, and the text you paste or upload is sent to our AI model provider to write it. We do not keep your checklist or the draft unless you go on to sign up; then we keep only the scorecard. Our free scorecard template is a place to start.
