Scorebuddy alternatives (2026)

Four cards side by side, one for each tool compared.

What are the alternatives to Scorebuddy?

It depends on where your conversations live and what you want the tool to do with them. The ones we read are Zendesk QA, evaluagent, Rippit (formerly MaestroQA) and Callyst. Each is built for a different kind of team.

Scorebuddy itself says it suits teams "of all sizes", from small support teams to large contact centers. So team size alone is not a reason to leave. Look for a better fit on four things: the channel (calls, tickets, chats), the system your conversations sit in, whether you want human review as well as AI scoring, and how you can try it.

What is Scorebuddy, and when is it still the right choice?

Scorebuddy (its site also uses the name ScorebuddyCX) is a quality-assurance platform for contact centers. Its pricing page lists three plans, Foundation, Accelerate and Elite. Scorecards, a calibration module and agent dashboards are on the first plan. AI auto scoring starts on Accelerate, which includes 500 AI scores a month. Elite adds conversation analytics, voice transcription and an open API.

It is a good fit if you run a support or contact-center QA program, want human reviewers and AI scoring together, and want it connected to a contact-center platform or helpdesk. Its integrations page lists Genesys, Amazon Connect, NICE CXone, Zendesk, Intercom and more.

Two things to check on its own pages:

  • Price. Each plan says "Request a price". The pricing FAQ says cost depends on the number of users and the package, and that contracts are "flexible annual contracts".
  • Calls. Its FAQ says it supports voice calls, and the pricing page lists contact-center platform integrations, such as Genesys, Five9 and Talkdesk, from the Accelerate plan. AI voice transcription is listed under Elite, with transcription credits as an Elite-only add-on. Ask which plan covers your calls and how they are transcribed.

"Not stated" means the page we read does not say. It does not mean the tool cannot do it.

Three notes on the table:

  • Rippit used to be MaestroQA. Rippit's own announcement says "MaestroQA is now Rippit: same founders, a new name". If you are reading older comparisons, they may use the old name.
  • Rippit says who it is not for. Its announcement lists "very low conversation volume" and teams whose conversations live outside Intercom and Zendesk as "not a fit" for now. Its integrations page, as of 22 Oct 2026 also lists Gong (for sales calls), Fireflies, Granola and Decagon, and its home and pricing pages name some of them too. Check the current list with Rippit.
  • We left out other companies' dollar amounts. Some of these pages publish starting prices and some do not, so check each page yourself. Callyst's own price is in the table.

Which one fits which team?

Pick the first line that sounds like you.

  • You run a contact center or support QA program and want people and AI scoring together. Look at Scorebuddy and evaluagent. Both list custom scorecards and calibration on their pages, and both list integrations with contact-center platforms.
  • Your tickets, chats and calls already sit in Zendesk. Look at Zendesk QA first. Its page says customers on any Zendesk Support or Suite plan can buy it as an add-on, so it suits teams already on Zendesk.
  • You want AI agents that read every conversation for more than QA, such as churn or product feedback, and your conversations sit in a tool Rippit connects to. Look at Rippit.
  • You have recorded sales calls, your own scorecard, and you want to see scored output on your own calls before you decide. Try Callyst's free check.

If none of these sounds like you, say what you need to us and to any vendor you talk to. A tool that is the wrong shape will be slow however good it is.

Where does Callyst fit?

Callyst scores each eligible recorded sales call against your scorecard. Item scores come with a quote from the call. Each quote is checked word for word against the transcript, and if no quote checks out, the score shows without one. Flags are a separate list for a person to review: a scorecard can define its own flags, each with a severity and a word-for-word quote, and raising a flag does not change the call's score. A flag whose quote isn't in the transcript is dropped. In a paying workspace, on weekday mornings, each active rep with an email address on the Team page who had at least three scored calls the previous working day gets a short coaching email: what went well, what to fix, what to say instead. Callyst also sets aside voicemails, unanswered calls, duplicates, calls over 90 minutes and, by default, calls under 60 seconds, and does not score them.

Callyst is priced for teams of any size: $200 a month for 1-3 reps, $280 for 4-7 and $40 per rep from 8 reps. Each plan includes 1,000 calls per rep a month, shared across the team. Billed monthly, no annual contract. See pricing.

Each item is scored on its own, and the overall score is judged separately for the whole call, not added up from the items. Callyst works from the recordings you send, so there is nothing to connect.

Good to know: Callyst scores calls in English. It works from recordings, so it fits any phone system that can export them. Scores, flags and coaching notes are generated by AI and can be wrong. Review them before acting, especially before any step that affects a person's job or pay.

What should you ask any vendor before you commit?

  1. Can I try it on my own calls, and who does the work? Scorebuddy's trial is led by its team. evaluagent offers a proof of concept after a demo, Zendesk asks you to reach out for a trial, and Rippit lists a free plan. Callyst's free check is self-serve: you upload your own calls.
  2. What is the contract term, and what does it cost for my team size? Scorebuddy's plans say "Request a price". Ask for the price in writing.
  3. How are calls handled? Ask how audio becomes a transcript, which plan includes it, and what the tool does with voicemails and duplicates.
  4. Which of my systems does it connect to today? Ask for the current list, not the planned one.
  5. How long is audio kept? At Callyst, audio is deleted 30 days after scoring, and no recording is kept longer than 35 days.
  6. How do I check the scores against my own graders? Pick 10 calls you have already judged and compare.

How do you try Callyst's free check?

You get up to 10 calls scored for free, one free check per company. You need a work email. No card is needed and you do not have to talk to sales first.

  1. Fill in the form with your name, work email and company. You can add your own scorecard on the same form, or paste a checklist and we draft a scorecard from it.
  2. Check your email for the sign-in link. It works once and expires after 15 minutes. Click it, then press Sign in on the short "Finish signing in" page. That confirms your work email and opens your private upload page.
  3. Upload your calls and tick that you have permission to share them. Tick it only if the people on the calls, and your company, allow Callyst to process the recordings.
  4. When every file is uploaded, press Done, build my report.
  5. Your scored report arrives within 24 hours. We email you a link to the full report online. You can save it as a PDF from your browser.

Don't have a scorecard yet? The free scorecard builder turns a checklist into a draft, with no sign-up. Our free scorecard template is a place to start.
