Observe.AI alternatives (2026)

Four cards side by side, each with a ring and a few tick marks, standing for the tools compared.

Written by Callyst, which makes one of the tools listed. Facts about other companies come from their own pages, read on 22 and 23 October 2026. Products change, so follow the links before you decide. If we've got something wrong, email us and we'll fix it.

What are the alternatives to Observe.AI?

It depends on what you want to do with your calls. Observe.AI describes itself as a platform for large contact centers, and sells through its sales team. If you want your recorded sales calls scored against your own scorecard, without a long sales-led rollout, you may want something quicker to start. The ones we read are evaluagent, Zendesk QA, Rippit (formerly MaestroQA), Avoma and Callyst. Each is built for a different kind of team.

We do not compare prices in this post. Some of these companies publish them and some do not, so for the others we only say whether a price is on the page. Callyst's own price is in the section on where Callyst fits.

What is Observe.AI, and who is it for?

Observe.AI calls itself "the agentic AI platform for customer experience". Its pages describe AI agents that talk to customers, agents that guide human agents live, and agents that evaluate and coach. It also says it scores quality across all customer conversations.

On who it is for, a page Observe.AI publishes for AI assistants (shown as updated 23 July 2026) describes enterprise organizations with large customer-facing contact centers. It says the product is sold directly through its sales team, that pricing is custom, and that there is no public self-serve tier. Its contact page offers a demo and tailored pricing.

What we could not find: a minimum team size, a price, or a free trial on the three pages we checked (information page, updated 23 Jul 2026; home, as of 22 Oct 2026; contact, as of 22 Oct 2026). That does not mean there are none. If you are a small team, ask for them before you sit through a demo.

Contact-center QA and sales-call scoring are different jobs

A contact center that handles customer-service calls at high volume, on a contact-center phone platform, often needs live guidance for agents, QA across several channels, and connections to its CRM and phone system. A small sales team that records its calls usually needs something simpler: score each call against our checklist, tell each rep what to fix.

Connected systemsPhone platform, CRM, ticketingOften "whatever our phone system exports"

RolloutSales-led, with a deploymentTry it on a few calls first
A rough picture of the two kinds of team.

This is a rough picture, not a rule. Plenty of small teams need a contact-center tool, and some contact centers want something light. Use it to decide which questions matter to you.

"Not stated" means the page we read does not say. It does not mean the tool cannot do it.

Four notes on the table:

  • Rippit used to be MaestroQA. Rippit's own announcement says "MaestroQA is now Rippit: same founders, a new name". Older comparisons may use the old name.
  • Rippit says who it is not for. Its announcement names teams with very low conversation volume, and teams whose conversations live outside Intercom and Zendesk, as not a fit for now. Its integrations page, as of 23 Oct 2026 also lists Gong (for sales calls), Fireflies, Granola and Decagon, and its pricing page names some of them. The pages list different integrations; ask Rippit for its current supported integrations.
  • Avoma starts from meetings. Its call scoring is listed as part of an add-on to its meeting product. Its pricing page names dialer integrations including RingCentral, Zoom and Aircall; check that yours is on the list.
  • We left out rival dollar amounts. For the other tools the table only says whether a price is on the page, so none is judged on cost here; check each page yourself. Callyst's own price is shown.

Which one fits which team?

Pick the first line that sounds like you.

  • You run a large contact center and want AI across customer conversations, live agent help and QA. Observe.AI says that is what it is built for. Ask for a demo and ask about team size and price.
  • You run a contact-center or support QA program and want human review and AI scoring together. Look at evaluagent. Its pricing page lists custom scorecards, scoring on 100% of conversations, and contact-center platforms such as Genesys Cloud, NICE CXone and Five9.
  • Your tickets, chats and calls already sit in Zendesk. Look at Zendesk QA first. Its page says customers on any Zendesk Support or Suite plan can buy it as an add-on.
  • You want AI agents that read every conversation for more than QA, such as churn or product feedback, and your conversations sit in a tool Rippit connects to. Look at Rippit.
  • Your sales team lives in meetings and a dialer, and you want meeting notes, CRM data entry and call scoring in one product. Look at Avoma, and check which of its plans and add-ons include the scoring.
  • You have recorded sales calls, your own checklist, and you want to see scored output on your own calls before you decide anything. Try Callyst's free check.

If none of these sounds like you, tell us and any vendor you talk to what you need. A tool that is the wrong shape will be slow however good it is.

Where does Callyst fit?

Callyst scores each eligible recorded sales call against your scorecard, or against its standard scorecard if you do not have one. Item scores come with a quote from the call. Each quote is checked word for word against the transcript, and if no quote checks out, the score shows without one. Flags are a separate list for a person to review: a scorecard can define its own flags, each with a severity and an exact quote, and raising a flag does not change the call's score. In a paying workspace, on weekday mornings, each active rep with an email address on the Team page who had at least three scored calls the previous working day gets a short coaching email: what went well, what to fix, what to say instead. Voicemails, unanswered calls, duplicates, calls over 90 minutes and, by default, calls under 60 seconds are set aside and not scored.

What it costs. Callyst works for teams of any size: $200 a month for 1-3 reps, $280 for 4-7, and $40 per rep from 8 reps, with 1,000 calls per rep a month included and shared across the team. Plans are billed monthly, with no annual contract. See pricing.

Good to know. Callyst scores calls in English. It works from recordings, so it fits any phone system that can export them. Scores, flags and coaching notes are generated by AI and can be wrong. Review them before acting, especially before any step that affects a person's job or pay.

What should you ask any vendor before you commit?

  1. Can I try it on my own calls, and who does the work? Observe.AI starts with a demo. evaluagent offers a proof of concept after a demo. Avoma lists a 14-day free trial. Callyst's free check is self-serve: you upload your own calls.
  2. Is there a minimum team size or contract term, and what does it cost for my team? Observe.AI says its pricing is custom, and evaluagent asks you to request a quote for your team. Ask for the price, and any minimum or contract term, in writing.
  3. Which of my systems does it connect to today? Ask for the current list, not the planned one.
  4. How are my calls handled? Ask how audio becomes a transcript, and what the tool does with voicemails and duplicates.
  5. How long is audio kept, and where? At Callyst, audio is deleted 30 days after scoring, and no recording is kept longer than 35 days. Ask every vendor for its own number, in writing.
  6. How do I check the scores against my own graders? Pick 10 calls you have already judged and compare.

How do you try Callyst's free check?

You get up to 10 calls scored for free, one free check per company. You need a work email (free addresses such as Gmail do not work). No card is needed and you do not have to talk to sales first.

  1. Fill in the form with your name, work email and company. You can add your own scorecard on the same form, or paste a checklist and we draft a scorecard from it.
  2. Check your email for the sign-in link. It works once and expires after 15 minutes.
  3. Click it. A short "Finish signing in" page opens. Press Sign in. This confirms your work email and opens your private upload page.
  4. Upload your calls: .wav or .mp3, up to 50 MB each, up to 10 calls. Tick We have permission to share these calls, only if the people on the calls, and your company, allow Callyst to process the recordings.
  5. When every file is uploaded, press Done, build my report.
  6. Your scored report arrives within 24 hours. We email you the headline numbers and a link to the full report online. You can save it as a PDF from your browser.

Don't have a scorecard yet? The free scorecard builder turns a checklist into a draft you can read, with no sign-up. Read the draft before you use it: an AI writes it, and the text you paste or upload is sent to our AI model provider to write it. We do not keep your checklist or the draft unless you go on to run a free check with it; then we keep only the scorecard. Our free scorecard template is a place to start.
